Nottingham Children’s Book Award 2019

Nottingham Children’s Book Award 2019

With three fantastic books to choose from, which will be your favourite?

2019 will be the 18th year that we have been running the Nottingham Children’s Book Award.

The awards celebrate reading from a young age and highlights the best literature published that year. Hundreds of children from across the city take part every year by voting for their favourite book.

Last year we received over 5250 votes and we would like to beat that total in 2019! Help us make it the greatest year yet, by helping us to decide on the best new children’s book of the last year!

Library staff and local children have helped to shortlist this year’s contenders:

The Case of the Red Bottomed Robber!
By Richard Byrne

The case of the red bottomed robber

Poor Little Rabbit!
By Jörg Mühle

 Poor little rabbit

By Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet

How to get involved: Come to any Nottingham City library, ask staff for the three books, enjoy the book with your little ones and then vote by putting a stamp in the story you think is the best.

The winner will be announced on 14th June 2019.
