Listening Chain

Would you like to discover new audio books or share titles you have enjoyed? Join our group which meets on the second Wednesday of the month at Nottingham Central Library. We are now using the RNIB Talking Book Service to supply our talking books so they can be delivered straight to your home free of charge.  To find out more contact Nicola Holmes on 0115 876 1948 or e-mail nicola.holmes@nottinghamcity.gov.uk

The RNIB Penfriend is now available to use with our talking books on CD at the following libraries: Bulwell Riverside Library, Sherwood Library, Nottingham Central Library and Wollaton Library. Penfriends allow you to listen to audio-labels of talking books, providing a brief summary of the title to help you make your choice more easily. Please ask staff for a Penfriend.

Portland College Access Centre have contributed to this project and volunteers have helped to record the information from each talking book.

People with visual impairment do not pay overdue charges.
